Uncle Cameron gets to see Olivia!

We went back to Marshall for Easter and had a really great visit with everyone. My grandmother came in from Arkansas and got to spend time with the family. Also, Cameron met Olivia Jane for the first time. It was really awesome. He really enjoyed cuddling and cooing with her. He looked like a natural! Olivia is so wonderful and I am glad that we got to spend more time with her. I have a picture of the three of us and I will post it later.

I hope everyone had a great Easter and took some time to recognize the reason we celebrate such a wonderful day! He is RISEN!

A Win is a Win, Right?

WOW! We had a nail-biting game against the North Texas Stampede. The Bullets won with a score of 13-12! The first half was pretty crazy and I did not think the Bullets had a chance. Obviously I was wrong. The other team played dirty, I mean dirty. One of the team members even told the refs that if the Bullets knelt for the win, they would come through and break the QB's legs. Thankfully, the clock ran out without any serious injury.

Cameron had a great game with good tackles and an interception. I had a great game in the stands because the temperature was above freezing this time! I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pictures. Hopefully I will remember my camera and get a video of Cameron returning a kickoff for a touchdown! The Bullets take on the Tarrant County Hazard, here in Fort Worth on Saturday.

If you are in the area and want to check out a game, go to www.weatherfordbullets.com to look at the schedule. There are 7 games left and hopefully a Championship in June! We'd love to see you there!

Finally, a video.

Well, the Bullets didn't pull out a win in Wichita Falls. Cameron had a good game, even though there weren't any show stopping plays. I got a video of Cameron blocking a pass to the other team's slot receiver. Cameron is the guy in the white jersey: number 25.

The Bullets take on the North Texas Stampede at home on Saturday. They played the Stampede in a pre-season game for charity and did really well. I am hoping that they do just as well, or better, than last time.

Enjoy the video and thanks for checking in!

1 Win Down, 9 More To Go!

Cameron's team had their first game on February 28 and they walked away with a win! It was a very exciting game, although we were freezing in the stands, literally! It was 32 degrees! Luckily, my mom, his parents and a friend of his were there and we could huddle up next to each other. At first, we kind of sat there cheering with our horns and yelling. Later, as the game got more intense, we accepted the inability to keep warm and stood cheering! Towards the end of the game, Cameron recovered a fumble for a touchdown! It was so exciting...then the flags started flying. One of his teammates had blocked illegally and the ball was brought back. Ugh. Well, a win is a win and we were excited.
This weekend, the Weatherford Bullets will take on the Wichita Falls Kings in Wichita Falls, TX. I already checked the weather and it is gonna be a nice day for a game. It's only going to get down to 57 degrees!

Thanks for checking in and I hope to post another blog about their second win!

Are You Ready For Some Football?!

Cameron certainly is. And Amy is, too. Cameron's semi-pro football team had their final pre-season game on February 7 in Millsap. Cameron had a terrific game with TWO interceptions! I got so excited and yelled "That's my husband!" Yeah, embarrassing, I know. I was so excited! At the last game, I bought a cheering horn and I wore it out; I was blowing it so much!
Cameron's first regular season game is February 28 in Millsap and we can't wait. It's going to be an exciting season.
Here's a couple of pictures from the game. Enjoy!

Here's a picture of one of Cameron's interceptions!

Here's Cameron going for a kickoff return!
